CAE Inc announced it received an order from ADS Inc on behalf of the U.S. Air Force (USAF) through the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Tailored Logistics Support (TLS) program to provide the USAF at Dobbins Air Reserve Base with a second aeromedical evacuation training system.
CAE will provide a high-fidelity fuselage trainer representing both the C-17 Globemaster III transport aircraft and KC-135 refueling aircraft that can be used and configured for aeromedical evacuation missions.
The fuselage trainer will include a motion system to replicate the vibrations and turbulence often encountered during flight. Within the fuselage trainer will be medical patient simulators provided by CAE Healthcare.
The system provided will include courseware and curriculum, and following delivery CAE Healthcare will provide training support services and instruction.
The aeromedical evacuation training system will be delivered in early 2017.
