BAE Systems and Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) have been selected to build engineering and manufacturing development prototype vehicles for the ACV (Amphibious Combat Vehicle) 8×8 amphibious armoured assault vehicle aimed for the United States Marine Corps (USMC).

BAE Systems will receive an amount of USD103.8 million, and SAIC’ is to receive USD121.5 million to build 13 vehicles and eventually additional 3. Each company will build 16 vehicles to be tested over the next two years.

The USMC will chose a competitor in 2018 to deliver 204 vehicles by 2020.
