As part of a 7-year contract awarded by Swedish shipbuilder SAAB Kockums, the French firm iXBlue will equip the two A26 attack submarines to be built for Swedish Navy with MARINS M-series inertial navigation system.

The Swedish Navy’s two future A26 submarines are scheduled to be operational in 2024.

In 2015, iXBlue delivered 7 MARINS M-series units to equip the Swedish Navy’s Gotland-class attack submarines.

The MARINS inertial navigation system enables stealth autonomous navigation, providing very accurate heading, roll, pitch, speed and position, under severe GNSS-denied environment.
