Airbus Helicopters announced it has handed over the first two of five H145M lightweight multi-role helicopters to the Royal Thai Navy (RTN).
The Royal Thai Navy’s H145M helicopter is equipped with two Turbomeca Arriel 2E engines equipped with full authority digital engine control system, Helionix digital avionics suite, multipurpose pylons including aerodynamic fairings, cargo hooks, hoists, HF system for search and rescue operations, weather radar, internal long range fuel tank system and fixed provisions for future special operations upgrade.
These two helicopters will stay in Germany for pilot training at Airbus Helicopters’ Training Academy. All helicopters are scheduled for delivery in Thailand by September 2016.).
