Elbit Systems announced that it has completed the delivery of a number of driving simulators for the armed forces of two NATO member countries. The simulators, which were delivered to the driving schools of both countries, are aimed for training plan of new drivers, as well as support the operational readiness of qualified drivers.

As part of the project, Elbit Systems designed, developed, produced and delivered three types of driving simulators: 4×4 KMW Dingo 2 mine protected vehicle, 8×8 GDELS-Mowag Piranha IIIC armored infantry fighting vehicle and 6×6 Iveco DV Trakker off-road truck. All of these can be operated in both stand-alone and convoy training modes. The next phase of the project includes on-site maintenance and support and is expected to span the next 10 years.
