The French shipbuilder DCNS announced it will promote ship designs such as corvette and attach submarine at Balt Military Expo 2016 which will be held in Gdansk, Poland 20-22 June.
DCNS propose the GOWIND 2500 combat corvette and Scorpène submarine to Polish Navy in cooperation with Polish firm PGZ (Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa).
The GOWIND 2500 ship is proposed equipped with DCNS SETIS combat management system. GOWIND 2500 design was sold in 2013 and 2014 for the Royal Malaysian Navy and the Egyptian Navy respectively (total of 10 units). The Scorpène submarine is proposed equipped the 2nd generation air-independent propulsion system, DCNS Canto countermeasure system, DCNS SUBTICS combat management system, as well as provisions to integrate naval cruise missile system. The Scorpène submarine design was already chosen by the Chilean, Royal Malaysian, Indian and Brazilian navies.
