The European missile house MBDA recently revealed the company’s Exocet MM40 Block 3 surface-launched anti-ship missile systems was so far ordered by 11 Navies. Latest customers are Chile in 2014 and Egypt in 2015. More than 450 Exocet MM40 Block 3 missiles were ordered, the company’s recently told. Total of 60 of the missile’s firing installations were ordered or are in service. Other users of the missile include Morocco, Greece, France, Peru, United Arab Emirates and Qatar.
The missile’s mission planning software module automatically computes engagement plans to support firing decisions. It features a weight of 780 kg and length of about 6m. It is composed of airframe, navigation module, warhead, propulsion system and guidance terminal.
