Five companies were shortlisted by the Danish Ministry of Defence’s armament procurement agency, the FMI (Forsvarsministeriets Materiel- og Indkøbsstyrelse) or in English Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization (DALO) for their Patruljekøretøjer 4×4 protected patrol vehicle program.

Oshkosh Defence is proposing the M-ATV and L-ATV vehicles, Nexter Systems offered the Aravis, Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi presented the Cobra and Cobra 2 vehicles, General Dynamics European Land Systems-Mowag offers the Eagle V and Ricardo and General Dynamics Land Systems competes with the Ocelot design. All the vehicles are proven designs as they are fielded by numerous nations. It is also believed that all are combat proven.
