The Finish privately-owned company Conlog Group has been awarded a EUR35 million contract by the country’s armament procurement organization, the Puolustusvoimien Logistiikkalaitos (PVLOGL) to modernize an undisclosed number of BMP 2 tracked armoured fighting vehicles of the Finish Land Force.

The program aimed at to extend the vehicle’s lifespan until 2030, will be implemented over a three-years period. It will include installing driver’s viewer enhancer, communication systems, external storage boxes and Berberys-R multi-spectral camouflage solution from Miranda.

The fleet was originally purchased from the Soviet Union.
