Spanish Navy (Armada Española) Meteoro Class BAM (Buque de Acción Marítima) multi-purpose modular maritime action ship is equipped with ICCS Mod 5 integrated communications control system from the Portuguese company Empresa de Investigação e Desenvolvimento de Electrónica SA (EID).

The Portuguese company have been contracted to deliver and install the ICCS Mod 5 for the first four BAM ships (P-41 SPS “Meteoro”, P-42 SPS “Rayo”, P-43 SPS “Relámpago” and P-44 SPS “Tornado”).

The solution comprise the WS805 command and control display and EIDCOM320 terminals and as well as associated accessories.

The whole BAM programme covers the construction of 14 ships in four configurations.

The ICCS Mod 5 has been retained in the Navantia proposal submitted to the Brazilian Navy (Marinha do Brasil-MB) PROSUPER surface vessels acquisition programme. The Spanish builder proposed vessels based on F-100 frigate, BVL patrol ship and BAC (Buque de Aprovisionamiento en Combate) logistic support ship.
