Lockheed Martin C-130H Hercules military transport aircraft of the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) are being upgraded with Flight2 avionics management system of Rockwell Collins. It will include LynxOS-178 real-time operating system from LynuxWorks Inc.

Flight2 avionics system will provide the aircraft with Communication, Navigation, Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) capability over the global airspace.

The fleet of three aircraft is being modernized by Singapore Technologies Aerospace Ltd and also involves major servicing of the aircraft, repair and overhaul of aircraft components as well as the T56 / 501 engines and its accessories.

Oman has also received three C130J Super Hercules military transport aircraft (one long and two short configurations) that were acquired from Lockheed Martin though the foreign military sales (FMS) process of the United States.
